User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031114 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031114 After getting a new mail notification the icon in system tray and the green arrow icon of the folder disappear when I click in a different folder (e.g. sent folder) in the folder pane of this particular account even if I did not choose to download the mail. After the next periodic check the new mail notification appears. Clicking in a folder of another account does not delete the notification icons. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

This is true, but I'm not sure why it's a problem, especially since the new-mail notification reappears on the next periodic check. At any rate, I couldn't find a dupe for this.

Well, it prevents you from changing your mind and download the messages before the periodic check timer turned again. Or so I understood the original message.
