Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031108 Firebird/0.7+ Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.4a (20031026) I have an account at dreamhost.com Currently, they use box Coutier IMAP, which creates all subdirectories under the Inbox folder, including the Sent folder. I set up a couple of email accounts and logged in with thunderbird. Everything works great until I send an email. Thunderbird sends the email fine, then attempts to save it in the (currently non-existant) Sent folder (to be under the Inbox). Instead of saving, thunderbird fails and prompts a message with "Invalid Mailbox Name". 1 point of interest. An admin over at dreamhost went in to 1 of the new accounts using Mozilla 1.5 Mail and Mozilla 1.5 Mail successful set up the Sent and Drafts folders. Now, using Thunderbird, the email copy is placed in the Sent Folder without complaint. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new email account with a Coutier IMAP server. 2. Log in using Thunderbird. 3. Send an email. 4. Observe 'invalid mailbox name' message and failure to save a copy in Sent sub folder. 5. Log in using Mozilla Mail. 6. Log in using Thunderbird. 7. Send an email. 8. Note successful copy of email to Sent sub folder.
weird I use dreamhose too and I don't see this. Maybe I already had a valid sent folder.
This problem seems to go away in Mozilla Thunderbird 0.5+ (20040312) Windows, I'll just assume its going to work on Linux. I'm just going to throw my own private party here. Nothing to see here, move along.
