2263 - [PP] Text entered into URL field is misaligned, sometimes invisible

[PP] Text entered into URL field is misaligned, sometimes invisible

[yeah, I realize I'm wedging two bugs into one, but they're really minor and at
least slightly related... ;]

* STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0) Launch Viewer
1) Select the "0" (in test0.html), and replace it with 1
2) Resize the window
3) Select the contents of the URL field, press the delete key, and then press the
return key
4) Press the backspace key a few times

* RESULT
 - What happened

After step 1, the "t" is somewhat doubled, and the "1.html" is offset vertically
by 2 pixels. For significant text changes, this renders the URL text completely
unreadable.

After step 2, the text in the URL field is properly re-aligned (although once
again becomes horked if altered.)

After step 3, the URL field's contents are empty.

After step 4, you will see --- character by character --- the text of "http://"
appear as you delete it. ;)

 - What was expected

Text shouldn't be munged when changed, nor should invisible text be present in
the URL field:

* After step 1 on Win32, the URL text entered is properly aligned with the
existing text.
* After step 3 on Win32, the "http://" text is visible after presing return.

links, Link walker, etc."]

* REGRESSION

 - Occurs On
        viewer (1.8.98 build for Mac OS)

 - Doesn't Occur On
        viewer (1.7.98 build for Win32)
        viewer (1.8.98 build for Linux)


* CONFIGURATIONS TESTED

- PowerMac 8500/120 (233 Mhz 604e), 64 MB RAM, 1024x768 (16-bit video), Mac OS
8.5.1

Since the editable fields will be composer-based, marking won't fix. We can
readdress if composer can't fit the bill.
