User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031120 Camino/0.7+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031120 Camino/0.7+
Suddenly, this evening upon starting Camino I got the error message:The
bookmarks file could not be opened because it is not in the expected format. All
of my bookmarks have disappeared. I saved bookmarks.xml file to desktop them
trashed the Chimera folder from Applicaiton Support/ folder and installed a new
build. Then I imported the bookmarks file but it shows up as empty. I am
attaching a copy of the file.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to Bookmarks menu, manage bookmarks
2.Go to Camino > Import Bookmarks
3.Select the bookmarks.xml file
Actual Results:
Shows up as an empty folder called Imported Bookmarks in the bookmarks manager

Jay,
did you forget to attach the xml file ?

Also - with the 11/20 build, the bookmark file is "bookmark.plist" not
"bookmark.xml". Gonna need some more info here if we're gonna make any progress
on getting it fixed . . .

Well, your bookmarks.plist file is definately empty. We need that .xml file,
too. I'm wondering if this is what happened.
1) some bug corrupted your bookmark file (bookmark.plist)
2) you saved bookmark.xml (maybe empty file?) from the App Support directory but
threw away bookmark.plist.
3) You then imported the "empty" bookmark.xml file.
If that's the case - whenever you trashed the App Support directory without
saving the bookmarks.plist it contained, your bookmarks were hopelessly lost,
as well as whatever hope we had of figuring out what went wrong in the first
place. Which would suck for all concerned.

You have have bug 337750, not this bug. The best thing to do is upgrade to 1.0.4 or a recent nightly build, where there is automatic bookmark backup and restore.
