User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 When I click on a link from other programs such as the gooogle deskbar or to check my hotmail account, Firebird wont open to display the link. I have it set as the default browser, yet with it open or closed, if I click on a link from a different program, nothing happens. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.(Using Google deskbar) Type in search term and click search. 2. When mini viewer opens, click on link. Actual Results: Nothing happens. Window does not open at all. Expected Results: Browser window opens with the expected web page, or a new tab window opens.
Reporter, does FB open for links from other apps such as TB or from double-clicking .url files?
FB opens for a .url file and from an internet shortcut on the desktop, but if I have a window open already, it just takes over that window, and doesnt create a new tab window. When clicking a link from any other program that was on my system before I made FB my default browser, nothing happing, not even when I right click and choose open in new window.
I'm running Firebird and Thunderbird on Fedora Core 1 installed via RPM through yum. If I click on a link in the Thunderbird message preview pain nothing happens. The link is highlighted by a light dotted line around it but nothing opens and the page that the link points to doesn't appear.
worksforme with 20040425 Firefox on winXP. I can launch firebird from links in Thunderbird, from shortcuts on the desktop, from the windows addressbar, etc.
