On one of my copies of Mozilla 1.5, the default mail composition font
sponantaneously changes and does not change back.  I have identified the line in
prefs.js that gets altered.

Original line:

user_pref("intl.charsetmenu.mailview.cache", "UTF-8, windows-1252, GB2312,
ISO-8859-1, UTF-7");

Line after font change:

user_pref("intl.charsetmenu.mailview.cache", "windows-874, UTF-8, windows-1252,
GB2312, ISO-8859-1");

I have not been able to figure out what causes the change.  The only way to
restore it is to change the line in prefs.js.

Dan Koretz, that preference has nothing to do with which font is selected at 
compose time.  It's a list of the most-recent character sets (not fonts) that 
were used to view mail.

When you say the composition font changes: What had you set it to?  Where in the 
program did you set it?  What did it change to?
