This bug exists as long as I can remember. When you have a web page which fails to load (say connection timeout, DNS problems etc.), you may want to save this URL for later by adding a bookmark. Even though the URL is in the address bar, it is not saved. This way you have dataloss, when you call the bookmark the address is not available. pi
Asking for blocking because of dataloss. pi

Better still, such URLs should go into a designated folder as 'To Check' or under the classification of the error that Mozilla got. I have lots of URLs that ought to work, but don't and it would certainly be a feature to have Mozilla help me check them!

This WFM (at least with a timeout) with linux seamonkey trunk 2006031111. Is anyone still seeing this bug?
It seems to work with the new error pages. Do we still have a case when this error page with the "Try again" button does not show? That would be our test case. pi
Invalid protocol (foo://bar.com/) doesn't get you an error page, but I don't see a compelling reason to bookmark invalid URIs.
Right. I filed this bug for network or server related problems. So let's mark it WFM. I'll reopen when I hit a real problem again. pi
