Last usable Linux nightly trunk build is 2003-11-10-05. This severely affects my ability to triage bugs, since I cannot triage any bug reported on a build later than that date. I don't have time and disk-space to roll my own Opt builds. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Goto URL 2. Download and "tar xfz mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz" 3. Run it ACTUAL RESULTS: After 1: mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-sea.tar.gz 10-Nov-2003 15:30 15M mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz 25-Nov-2003 18:07 12M After 3: ./mozilla-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory EXPECTED RESULTS: I would like nightly builds of mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-sea.tar.gz ---------------------------------------------------------^^^ It should not require libstdc++.so.5 PLATFORMS TESTED: SuSE 7.3/i686

Roughly same problem as bug 227105, I'd guess?

This is a result of me forgetting to rebuild the compilers with static libstdc++ I'll get this fixed today. I'm not sure if that will fix 227105, but it could certainly be related.

I meant to work on machine config over the weekend, but was put down with illness. I'm still ill, but i realize this is somewhat time sensitive, so i'll be working on this again today.
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/nightly/2003-12-08-14-trunk/ should be better. Please test.

I just tried this Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208 on RedHat 7.1 (which does't have that C++ lib, either) and there it runs nicely.

Thank you dbaron. I felt out in the cold and left behind. On with testing. :-)

I also wanted to add that it is noticeably faster (at rendering pages) than before - nice! The builds does not seem to include Talkback though, are they supposed to?
So the fix wasn't quite right. Could those of you who are interested test the build at: http://mozilla.oregonstate.edu/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/tinderbox-builds/comet/ (That's the one of the ftp.mozilla.org mirrors that I know has updated already.)

It runs fine but still no Talkback. After unpacking the full-installer.tgz I see a file named "./mozilla-installer/xpi/talkback.xpi" but after running the installer there is no talkback installed under components (or anywhere else).
