Messages appear sequencially without grouping. S. Niedinger: by 'grouping' do you mean 'threading' -- that is, the messages are sorted flat rather than threaded? Assuming this is the case: 1) You can use the menu View|SortBy|Date to sort the threads without unthreading. 2) You can set the preference mailnews.thread_pane_column_unthreads to False -- this will allow you to click a column header without unthreading. See bug 219787 for an additional improvement in this area that's present in the 1.6b nightly builds. (Enter about:config into the browser URL bar to get to the preference.)
