User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-AT; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.4 (20031205) from http://thunderbird.diepause.de/downloads/complete.php The mail-status icon (in the mail grid) is bound to the subject column. If you reorder the columns it may be much more useful if the icon was separated to another column. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. list your mails in the grid 2. reorder the subject column to the end 3. Actual Results: The icon also reorders. Expected Results: Just move the subject column but not the icon. I'm using a german build of TB 0.4 but it should be the same with any other version.
There already is a separate Status column which you can relocate as desired; its meaning is the same as the differing msg icons. However, it is text-based rather than iconic.

There should be ICONIC column for mail-status too - that's the subject.

The RESOLVED status means that this bug was already fixed?
Can you please give a reason why this is a WONTFIX?
Could any liable developer please reconsider the decision to not fix this "bug"? That is not such a big thing, but it would make Thunderbird much prettier for all the Outlook-Switcher, that want the sender left to the subject... Please fix this really simple-to-fix issue...

I agree with this. At least a reason, why this was wontfixed without any comment would be nice. On the other hand: Perhaps someone could write an extension, that implements this behaviour?
