The tabs in Chatzilla should show a tooltip on mouseover to explain what the
color code is. For example, when tab text color goes green it means there are
new messages in that tab, so the tooltip on hovering over that tab should say
'New messages' or something more appropriate!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Hover over a tab in ChatZilla
Actual Results:
No tooltip appears explaining why the tab is coloured!
Expected Results:
Shown a tooltip explaining why the tab text was coloured <enter a colour name!>

I don't think it makes sense to put a tooltip there. A FAQ entry would be nice,
but I see no reason to pop up a tooltip (which would block either the message
window, or the input box) to explain something most users will figure out soon
enough on their own.

The reporter doesn't mean a tooltip blocking the application. Just a tooltip as
it's used for 'title' attributes in html, which appears whenever you stay for
some instants over an element and disappears as you move away.

huh? I don't know what you're talking about. I know what kind of tooltip the
reporter meant, and when it shows up, it'll cover some important part of the UI.
I know this because the tabs used to have tooltips that displayed the url, and
they were annoying (to me, at least.)

I think a FAQ entry would be very nice. I also suggest marking this bug wontfix,
because such a tooltip would be obscuring other GUI elements, and therefor be
obtrusive after only a short while (obviously, you'd only want to read them
once), like rginda already pointed out. Also note that the way in which the tab
display changes can be configured using the css, and therefor may not always be
accurately described by any such tooltip, making it counter-effective.

Gijs or rginda will mark wontfix?

Changing in to a request for a FAQ entry. I think this is important enough to at least document.

This is on my list to do before the end of the year. Of course anyone is free to beat me to it ;-). But I agree with James, let's just fix the FAQ to mention this.
