Linux (2000-01-03-08 M13)
Steps:
1. Launch Messenger using the -mail option
2. Set preference NOT to save password
3. Select Inbox from my account
4. When the Password dialog comes up, type my password

Actual result: When typing password, only one * or 2 *s are displayed, the rest
of password character shows blank space.
Expected result: One * should be displayed for each password character.

This problem does not occur on Mac and Win_nt 4.0

As buster said above, it sounds like a dup of bug #22422. Akkana was unable to
reproduce it in her Linux build.
