On reboot everything is fine. After some time mozilla browser beging to get
transparent areas (they do not fill in, and I can see sections of the
underlying windows.

Reporter, you might try to remove or rename a file called XUL.mfl or XUL.mfasl,
which can be found in your profile-directory. The file will be recreated
automatically (it's the XUL cache).
