User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208 When I select a junk message and press J to mark it as junk, my mail settings say to move this message to the junk folder. The message does not go to that folder or to the trash folder, so if I made a mistake I can not get back to it. If I delete a message from the inbox, it also does not appear in the trash folder for the account. The number on the trash folder for unread messages does increase with both key presses though. I am simply unable to see the messages that I indicated to delete. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a message or group of messages, Press J 2. The message disappears and the trash folder count of unread increaes if working with multiple messages 3. Go to the trash folder and regardless of the sorting, I can not find the messages that were marked Actual Results: The message was removed from the inbox as it should have been, I just could not look at it again in the trash folder even though the count was increased. Expected Results: Have the messages available in the Trash folder for veiwing until removed from the trash folder by exiting the application or expliciting emptying the folder.

Steven Scott, I cannot duplicate your problem. Typing J causes the message to go the Junk folder, just as clicking in the Junk column does.
What is your choice of View/Message menu?
I have my junk mail controls set to delete the message. If the message is unread, then I see the count of unread messages in my trash folder increase. However, any read messages from previewing them in the main display, do not show in the trash folder and can not be found. This seems to happen to messages that I simply delete as well.
As suggested in comment 2, this is likely a view-configuration problem. Does the dropdown at the top of the thread pane (message list) read 'All' or 'Unread'?
Thanks for the information. It is a view configuration setting. I did not change any of the settings from the 1.5 release which is where worked normally, but the beta had the messages disappear. Maybe in the update process the setting's default was changed which caused me to think this is a bug.
