Bug 114767 is concerned with raising the default number of votes for all bugzilla users; it does seem that for many people, choosing their 'ten favourite' bugs is very hard and a spare 'vote' is a valuable asset. So, the idea of this bug is to propose allowing users to earn votes in the bugzilla meritocracy. For example, a user could earn an extra vote for each confirmed-valid bug they file which completes its lifecycle, or three votes for an attached patch that earns an sr=. This is a simple no-cost mechanism to 'reward' people for making positive contributions to the database and project, to some extent perhaps instead of voting with their tongue and whining in comment-spam. Of course, some users don't care about voting at all, for which this reward mechanism would mean nothing. But for voters, it's potentially a way to earn incremental empowerment by contributing positively.
Reassigning bugs that I'm not actively working on to the default component owner in order to try to make some sanity out of my personal buglist. This doesn't mean the bug isn't being dealt with, just that I'm not the one doing it. If you are dealing with this bug, please assign it to yourself.

There needs to be an even playing field for voting. Conceptually, it's a cute idea though ;)
