User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko Build Identifier: I'm in a process of creating search plugin for this site, and found that I can't control the encoding of the results, in the panel [the same goes in the results page for multiple search engines). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: I've tried to change the encoding in the src file, but it does nothing. My wish is to get something like <BDO> for results, which might slove this. Actual Results: Search using the attached plugin for Hebrew string ("מרק"(soup), for example). Expected Results: You'll get the results, but each is reversed, due to the behaviour of BiDi. I've tried all Hebrew BiDi encodings (ISO-8859-8, ISO-8859-8-I, ISO-8859-8-E), and got no luck. It seems that Mozilla ignore the BiDi guidelines for that box. This bug block the abilities to create search plugins for sites created long time ago, or by people with low skills. The same goes for FireBird with the Search Sidebar. This bug Can go into Browser-Search and BiDi components, depending on your point of view.
