Current behavior, for text containing spaces in Location Bar, is to display an
error message: "This URL is not valid and can not be loaded". Being used to "g
something" in Opera (which would load Google to search for something), this is
mildly annoying.
Granted, it only takes one more keystroke ("down", "enter" instead of just
"enter") to search in Moz too, but still... :)

You can set up Mozilla like this too. Create a bookmark that points to
http://www.google.com/search?q=%s , and give that the keyword "g".
Agreeing with comment 1: the current behavior is by design.
Users can define keywords to do what you want, and alternatively you can press
the DOWN arrow to start the search.
Hence, i recommend WONTFIX

Thanks Jo -- I'll set up my Moz as you suggest.

It will work if you enable "Internet keywords" (although there are a pair of
bugs about it)
