Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7

To make it easier for users to rename a tab (network/channel/user) it would be
nice if there was a rightclick contectmeny item that allows you to do this and
also save this info if you also have "Open this X on startup" enabled for that
network/channel.

In short, Id like an easy to use GUI way of adding something corresponging to eg

eval setTimeout("dispatch(getTabForObject(client.networks['quakenet']).label =
'Qnet')",5000)
or
eval
setTimeout("dispatch(getTabForObject(client.networks['quakenet'].primServ.channels['#testchannel']).label
= '#Test')",5000)
or
eval
setTimeout("dispatch(getTabForObject(client.networks['quakenet'].primServ.users['q@cserve.quakenet.org']).label
= 'Q')",5000)

Reproducible: Always

Suggesting wontfix for this. I don't think it's a good idea to support changing channel labels to be different from the actual channel name. If you want to do it, then use a plugin or network autoperform. Changing the server/network name will happen when we support editing the network/server list.

WONTFIXing per comment #1.

Changing network names will be supported in the future, but not by a context menu. Fixing the GUI support for networks and such is on my todo list (then again, so are a bundle of other things...).

Of course, anyone is free to write a plugin for this stuff. :-)
