I have only re-verified the problem with FTP downloads, so I don't know if it
applies to http downloads or not.

Sometimes when downloading a file, the download dialog disappears and I assume
the download has completed, but the file on disk is incomplete.  The problem
_appears_ to be with handling of lost connections to the file server.  If the
connection is lost, the download seems to end, and the inomplete file is left on
the disk.  There are no error messages or warnings, and there is no apparent
feature to resume the download.  Other download programs such as internet
explorer, filezilla, and download managers are able to download the same files
in their entirety (seemingly through reconnecting if the connection is lost).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have download dialogs enabled and also set to close automatically when a
download finishes (I have not tried any other setup)
2. Find a server with a troublesome internet connection, or one that drops
connections :->, somewhere on the internet.  Verified with ftp sites, possibly
also http (I don't recall for sure).
3. Download a file by clicking on it's link in the browser window.

Actual Results:  
The download completes without errors, but if the connection was ever lost, the
file is incomplete.
(Very dissapointing when you do many downloads and then process them days
later.. or if the download took a long time to "incomplete" and must be
restarted with no guarantee of success.)


Expected Results:  
- If a connection is lost, try to reestablish it
 (In all the cases that this came up with for me, filezilla was able to download
the files in entirety using this approach).

- If there are too many repeated errors (unable to reestablkish the connection),
notify the user, provide option to delete file (or *possibly* always delete file??)

- RELATED: On new download, if file already exists; provide option to resume?
please test with a current 0.8 preview build, the new download manager does show
failed states, although resuming after failure is not supported at this time.

Problem still exists today with TB 1.0.2.  Re-reported as bug 237623.
