Details

Linux Redhat 6.0 (2000-01-04-08 M13)
Win_nt 4.0 (2000-01-04-09 M13)
Mac (2000-01-04-09 M13)
Steps:
1. Launch Messenger using the -mail option
2. Select the IMAP account, and click New Msg to download all new messages
3. Select Message|Mark|All Read to read all the new messages
4. Set biff notification to 5 minutes.
5. Send a new message to this IMAP account and wait 5 minutes
6. When new message comes in, the biff icon shows the green downward arrow
7. Read the new message

Actual result: The biff icon does not return to normal state (green downward
arrow should disappear). I have to exit and relaunch to reset it.

Expected result: Biff icon should return to normal state after the new message
is read.

This occurs on all 3 platforms in IMAP account. Have not tested POP yet.

This problem does not exists in POP accounts in all 3 platforms.
NT4 build 2000012009M13:

I noticed in my POP account that I saw the biff icon, after selecting the "Get
Msg" button I saw the new messages but the biff icon remained for about 30
seconds, then it disappeared. With IMAP, the icon never disappears.
Yes, on Pop it's set up to go off at your next biff interval. On IMAP it's not.
This will get fixed when I make it turn off after reading a message.
