I selected a bug from my list of bugs. Then I change the severity level and
clicked commit changes. He saves but redirects me to another bug.

I would just like to clariy something first.. Are you trying to change the
Severity field of others'report?

It's taking you to the next bug after that one in the list you were just
viewing. Just like it says "The next bug in your list is:" at the top of the page.
This works as designed.
