User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208

trying to rename any bookmark in 1.6b wil result in a failure, atleast in my
installation. The OK button does not respond if the name is changed, but does if
anything else is. As most bookmarks can have terribly long names, its a great
headache. As far as my knowledge goes, it was not so with the 1.5b version, the
last i used

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.bookmark a page
2.use manage bookmarks to rename it
3.press ok, it wont responf

Actual Results:
It is reproducible every time.

Expected Results:
Simply accepted the new name

I was using the default mozilla modern theme
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208

This happened to me for a while, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out
why. It has something to do with the Tabbrowser extension. I think I just made
a new profile and started from scratch and everything worked after that.
its very possible that the tabbrowser extension may be the problem, as i too
have it installed.
I had the same problem when I upgraded to Mozilla 1.6. The problem is an old
version of the Tabbrowser extensions that was installed. Uninstalling the
version I had installed (Edit, Preferences, Navigator, Tabbed Browsing, click on
the Tabbrowser Extensions logo, Uninstall) and installing the latest version at
http://white.sakura.ne.jp/~piro/xul/_tabextensions.html.en fixed the problem.
Reporter, does Timothy's advice solve the problem?
it does, the problem was with the old tabbrowser extension. The new one works
fine and the problem is resolved.
