steps:
- visit to the above page. 

in safari, it renders instantly. in mozilla it takes forever, "transfering
data". Camino has the problem as well. haven't tried windows.
rendered very fast (< 1 sec, fast corporate connection) here using Firebird
20040114 trunk on Win2k.
wfm with win2k build 20040113..
more testing (with 2004011305 mac), it hangs sometimes on resolving
ad.doubleclick.net and won't lay out the rest of the page until it finishes.
safari never has problems resolving that site.

this is on aol's internal network, very fast.
wfm, moz 2004011409 XP Pro.
Reporter, do you have HTTP pipelining turned on? And if so, does it make a
difference if you turn it off?
no, pipelining is not turned on for him or me. anyone want to try this on mac?
most likely related to 231118, which shows slowdown in loading of certain sites
between oct '03 builds and jan '04. 
ipv6 issue.
