In the bookmark manager, the Broken Bookmarks item (collection?) lists keyword
URLs as being broken. While this is technically correct, it might be more
friendly to the end user if keyword URLs were automatically excluded from the
Broken Bookmarks item. Although I am not in any sense a programmer, I imagine
that this could be done by coding in a command to exclude a bookmark that
contains "%s".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the Camino application.
2. Prepare a keyword-based bookmark.
3. Choose the Bookmarks Manager by keystroke or menu item.
4. Click on the Broken Bookmarks item.
Actual Results:
I see the keyword-based bookmark in the list of bookmarks on the right that
corresponds to the Broken Bookmarks item.

Expected Results:
It should have excluded keyword-based bookmarks (any bookmark containing "%s")
from the Broken Bookmarks item.

WorksForMe using Camino/2004021008 on Mac OS X 10.2.8. I have a Bugzilla keyword
URL (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=%s) in a Mozilla folder in my
Bookmark Menu, and it does not appear in the Broken Bookmarks list.

Mike, can you still reproduce this problem using a current nightly build? What
OS X version are you running?
Yes, it still appears in the most recently nightly build I just downloaded this
morning, although, interestingly, not as many as before. This time, I'm just
seeing the Internet Movie Database's query link (http://www.imdb.com/find?q=%s)
in the Broken Bookmarks box; I used to see others.
I don't see any reason why it would be technically correct for a keyword
bookmark to be listed as broken, actually; Searching for %s should be valid for
any site that allows searches. For example, you get a perfectly valid results
page if you load that IMDB url. I suspect that the IMDB was simply unresponsive
the last time it ran the bookmark check.

Are you still seeing this? If so, please check the last update time of the
bookmark (with Get Info, Status). Then, double-click to load it, which should
refresh the status, and see if that moves it out of the broken section.
Mr. Morgan, I apologize, but I've become a traitor to the cause. :-) I'm now Safari-only, so I can't assist
with the further handling of this matter. Sorry about that ...

Two WFMs and no more feedback from the reporter (and only person to see it).
Based on comment 2, it doesn't appear to be always reproducable even for the
reporter. Closing as WORKSFORME.
