RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 148554

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113

I received emails from bugzilla about the status of a certain bug. Then i wanted
to add some information (since there were some questions), so i picked the email
i've got with the question and hit the reply button to add the information which
was needed.

The email i send to bugzilla-daemon@mozilla.org was not showing up in the
history of the bug, neither did i get an warning that i couldnt send this email.

Personally i find this a really serious flaw, since the willing people can
easily loose interrest in participating for solving a bug.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. send a bugreport about mozilla
2. send a reply on the email you received from bugzilla-daemon@mozilla.org
3. email is lost

Actual Results:
the user is thinking that he / she send information to bugzilla, but nothing has
really happend.

Expected Results:
One of the following results:
*) Add the email to the history of the bug
*) Give a clear notification in the email that you shouldnt reply
*) use an reply to adress which indicates that reply-ing is not an option

It demotivates users who are willing to track / help with solving a bug. I think
this shouldnt be the case.
you aren't supposed to reply to the daemon, traditionally it has bounced.

how precisely would you indicate that replying is not an option? (preferably
without bloating the email)
