User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 Double-clicking a word in X selects it and copies it to its clipboard, middle-clicking in a text field pastes it. Single-clicking in Firebird's URL bar shows it has selected the URL, but clipboard is not updated with URL. Have to triple click to select-unselect-reselect to have the URL copied to clipboard. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. select any word anywhere (not a link) by double-clicking it 2. single-click in URL bar (URL is selected) 3. middle-click anywhere you can paste text Actual Results: The word firstly double-clicked pastes. Expected Results: Paste the URL in URL bar.
I think this behavior is intentional, to make it easier to paste things into the address bar.
