From 5.0, edit your pref.js and change the user pref for compose_html to
false.
1) Launch seamonkey

Ok, I've inserted additional <BR>'s in the output so this should look better now when converted to plain text. - rhp
Verified on linux using the build: ftp://sweetlou/products/client/seamonkey/unix/linux_glibc/2.2/x86/2000-01-11-10- M13/netscape-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz I have not been able to verify under win32 or macos. I have not been able to get quoting to work. Waiting to try on next build before logging bug against quoting.
Verified as fixed on win32, linux, and macos win32 commercial seamonkey build 2000-080305-m17 linux commerical seamonkey build 2000-080304-m17 macos commercial seamonkey build 2000-080304-m17
