If you delete all entries from a subscribed calendar, the resulting .ics file is
completely empty. The result is that any actions taken on the subscribed
calendar is invalid since it does not contain any vCalendar tags.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Subscribe to a calendar with one event.
2. Delete the event
3. View the calendar file.
Actual Results:
The file was empty.
Expected Results:
The file should have the standard vCalendar tags that identify it as a valid
.ics file:

Arg. I hate it when I leave out important information like:
build number: 2004010914
installed on Moz 1.6 gold

Confirming with a Linux trunk build from yesterday.
When you have "Publish changes automatically" turned on for this calendar, you
can't add any new events to the previously emptied calendar, because the get
operation before the new event operation fails. You have to temporarily turn off
"Publish changes automatically" to add new events to the calendar.

This isn't just for remote calendars.
Create a local calendar, add an event. If you check in a text editor, the ics
file now has an event in it.
Now, delete the event. The .ics file is now empty. This empty file gets
published. I looks more like a backend problem.

I noticed that this bug had not been modified since 6/29/04. I am encountering
this same problem and I am wondering if there is any further activity to resolve
the issue.
Thank you very much!

Is this bug still valid given the new backend?

I think it falls under my purgeFile patch, but mvl would know for sure.

The bugspam monkeys have struck again. They are currently chewing on default assignees for Calendar. Be afraid for your sanity!

New backend doesn't use ICS files for storage, so an empty calendar is possible and okay.
