User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr-FR; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030630 This page www.guardian.co.uk has certainly inside something badly wrong. The crash is absolutely reproductible (four times with Mozilla). More interesting (a Gecko trouble clue ??), it makes Galeon 1.3.8 (mandrake built) to segfault too. With konqueror browser, the page just do fine but the W3C validator shows clearly that there's a Doc Type trouble (Fatal Error : "No Doctype specified !") Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. type "www.guardian.co.uk" 2. press "enter" 3. Actual Results: complete crash (all tabs and components). Expected Results: -> displaying an error message. -> tab crash (is it only possible ?) my plugins are : Sun JRE 1.4.2_02-b03 macromedia Flash 6.0.r79 Mozplugger 1.3.2
WFM, Using Mozilla Gecko/20040113. Windows XP. Did you try a later version of mozilla ?
WFM with Mozilla 2004011905 on Mac OS 10.2.8.
worksforme with linux trunk 2004012508 and 1.4 the build you have used to test (1.4) is too old to be useful. please try a recent build (1.6 or a nightly) or this bug is INVALID.

I eventually tested (later I had expected, I must admit) with mozilla 1.5 (release version) in windows environnement (98se). It did work correctly so the bug has been already solved, I presume. I think I'll quote it "invalid" immediatly. Thanks to all of you checking, yojik77
