User-Agent:
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040116

Mozilla 1.6 SUN contributed Forte build.
The attached html and css style files show the basic problem:
When :active is used in the style file on the <select> element,
the menu does only appear sometimes when clicked on, most of the
times just the bold attribute is activated for the entry in the
box. Seems that two actions are competing here instead of working
coordinated.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open given attachment (saved with style.css locally)
2.click on menu entry several times

Actual Results:
menu does not appear almost always, instead shown entry changes to bold.

Expected Results:
Open menu and show menu list as bold.

This could be one of the cases reported in bug #163503.
Problem appears also in 1.4/1.5. Netscape 4.7x does not show this behaviour.

I encounter the same thing with the testcase.

Windows 2k
Mozilla build ID 2004012808
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040128
MultiZilla/1.6.0.0e

I don't know if the bug is new.
Depends on: 163503
This changes the linked stylesheet to a style element so it works from
bugzilla. (Alternatively, you could attach the stylesheet first and link to
the URL on bugzilla, but fewer files are better.)

Thanks, David, for the improved attachment. Maybe this is an issue with gtk/gdk ?
We use the Netscape 7.1 libs for the solaris builds, gdk/gtk version 1.2.9.1
with glib version 1.2.10. System provided libraries in /opt/sfw/lib don't work
with this build.
I see this on LInux 2004021708
double clicking it made it work
OS: SunOS → All
Hardware: Sun → All
Yes, double click also helps on Solaris/Sparc.
