User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 The "status" drop-down list does not appear, so a status cannot be selected. It seems that it may be appearing but in incredibly small type that cannot possibly be read. Clicking on the drop-down arrow produces a few very fine lines below the box, so those might be the list of statuses. But they cannot be read. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.create a filter 2.try to choose a status using drop-down box 3. Actual Results: Very tiny lines show below drop-down box; cannot be read. Not even close. Expected Results: List of statuses should have appeared. This is problem with 1.6. It was not a problem in previous versions.
Dan Meek, which theme are you using where you see the "few very fine lines below the box"? Do you see no dropdown box at all? Using 1.6, I do not see the tiny lines at all, using the Modern-based Pinball; I get a dropdown box that is empty, except for a checkmark. If I click elsewhere in the box, the checkmark is moved the next time I display the dropdown -- but there is no text feedback for the status. The filter is saved with, apparently, the correct definition, and (I presume) it works. However, loading Mozilla 1.7a-0119, this symptom has disappeared -- the dropdown box is filled in correctly. Please verify that 1.7a fixes your problem as well; if so, mark this bug Resolved|WorksForMe.

I see no way to get 1.7a from the Mozilla web site. Also, theme I am using is Lopburi flat. There is a tiny dropdown box with incredibly tiny print.
I am warned against downloading and installing 1.7 at this time, so suggesting I do so does not appear to be a good option. BTW, I tried various 1.6 themes, and the problem exists with all of them I tried.
This bug did exist in 1.6, but is fixed in 2004-02-15 builds. The small lines were drop-down choices with no text in them. If you chose one, the filter worked properly, but getting the right one was trial-and-error.

Joe Infla, do you know which bug was actually fixed to address this problem?
No; if I find it I'll make a note in the bug.
