User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 when i visit the site above or the regular mozdev extensions page then i click to install an xpi extension I'm prompted with a "download manager" which lets me click OK or Cancel. I click Cancel. Everything is fine. However, when I click on a different xpi to install it will attempt to install both extensions sometimes causing Firefox to crash or forcing me to install the extension I had previously cancelled. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Firefox 2. Visit a site with multiple extensions available. 3. Click "Extension A" 4. When prompted Cancel the installation 5. Click "Extension B" 6. When prompted click Ok to accept the installation Actual Results: Firefox either installs the first Cancelled extension or it will install both the cancelled extension and the authorized extension. Expected Results: Only the second extension should be installed.
Presumably this is part of the problem from Bug 229600, not sure if it's close enough to be a duplicate though.
I wasn't sure either. Seems to be a similar problem. But this issue deals with cancelling the first install, so I filed it seperately.
Confiming (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040214 Firebird/0.8.0+) In my testing, the second extension was installed, then the first, and then a crash occurred. Probably related to bug 229600, yet different enough to warrant a separate bug.
