Well, I have had this same problem since 1.5b (which is when I started using
Moz), and didn't report it because I figured it was common enough someone else
already would have discovered it and fixed it. Anyhow, this doesn't seem to
be the case, so here I am...
Unfortunately, details are vague. After opening both the browser and mailnews
windows several times (I have quicklaunch loaded), when I close a window,
Mozilla crashes. From that point on, Mozilla continues to crash each time I
close a window until I totally remove mozilla from memory, meaning that I also
have to exit the quicklaunch (which also crashes).
Unfortunately, I don't think that the Quality Feedback Agent feature is
working either. After installing 1.6, the first time this happened, I
submitted feedback (and it assigned Incident ID TB29480287G, if that helps),
but does not appear to have submitted any notifications since then (or asked
me if I wanted to).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a browser window.
2. Open a mailnews window.
3. Wait until both windows have finished refreshing.
4. Close the browser window.
5. Close the mailnews window. (regardless of whether quicklaunch was running
at the beginning, it should be running now.)
6. Open a mailnews window.
7. Open a browser window.
8. Again, wait until the windows are finished refreshing.
9. Close the mailnews window.
10. Close the browser window.
*crash*
11. Close QuickLaunch.

I wanted to make sure that this behavior only occured when quicklaunch was
enabled, so I disabled the feature. Interestingly, when I turned the feature
back on, I could not reproduce the problem, even though I could reproduce it
consistently before that point. I'm sure I'll encounter it again soon enough,
but I figured this sudden (and likely temporary) "self fix" might help point
out where the real problem is.

Unable to reproduce with Mozilla 1.7 beta on windows XP. I tried with and
without quicklaunch, with mail and browser windows open.
Seairth, if you can reproduce this with Mozilla 1.7 beta where we have automatic
crash reporting (Talkback) please reopen and note the incident ID for the crash
report you submit. Thanks.
