Not much to say. I double-click the icon, get a little disk activity, then
nothing happens. Firefox.exe does appear very briefly in Task Manager, but if
you blink you'll miss it.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Firefox 0.8
2. Attempt to start program
3. Scratch head in confusion
Actual Results:
Nothing.
Expected Results:
Browser should start up and display home page.
Previous installation (0.7) had toolbar problems -- overlapping icons on
buttons, very weird. Not sure what this may have to do with current problem
since I removed old version before installing 0.8.

Forgot to mention that Mozilla 1.6 works fine on this machine. Have not yet
tried to reproduce this bug on a second computer.

Also, if you have any extensions installed, please disabled them first.

I'm using WinXP on system with a 2GHz Pentium 4 w/ 512MB RAM and an nVidia TNT
64 Pro graphics card.
I tried re-downloading from a diferent mirror and had the same results. Before
installing, I deleted the old Firebird program directory and all files in
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Phoenix\. Then I removed all references
to Firebird or Firefox from the Registry and reinstalled Firefox 0.8. The
browser now works, but with the same toolbar problem.
It seems that this bug was probably the result of some fluke problem with my
Registry. I'll start a new bug for my toolbar issue if reinstalling the vid
driver doesn't fix that.
