User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 there are a LOT of encoding/HTML errors on this site, BUT it is very popular. Whenever a product list appears, the page arbitrarily ceases rendering before the end. Curiously, resizing the browser window causes the remainder of the page to display. I consider this to be more a bug in the site than the browser, and am reporting it to the webmaster. However, as it has been an issue in previous Mozilla builds, I thought it worth reporting. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load the URL (wait for the "Done" message in the status bar) 2. Scroll to the bottom of the page - the table border, and often "add to basket" graphics are clearly truncated 3. resize the window and the complete page appears - the scrollbar will jump, showing there is suddenly a lot more to display Actual Results: ONLY when you resize does the page display correctly Expected Results: Bad HTML or no, the OTHER browser is prepared to let this lot render OK I am reporting this to the site webmaster as it is clearly an issue their side too. A syntax check in Adobe GoLive shows 200+ syntax errors, including mixing HTML 4.01 and XHTML (yeuch!)
This worksforme in a 2004-02-03-08 SeaMonkey trunk nightly. Is this a 1.6 broblem? Or a FireFox problem? Or am I just not hitting it?
this has been reported 8 times on dabs.com. all were duped to bug 219220: "Table overflow is not visible" the URL worksforme with linux trunk 20040211 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 219220 ***
