Details

User-Agent:
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113

When printing multiple emails simultaneously by selecting several emails and
then hitting File -> Print..., any printer settings that are set by clicking on
the "Properties" button in the Print dialog box (such as duplex printing, a
specific tray to print to, etc.) are only applied to the first email message
printed in the selection. The rest of the selected emails print out using the
established default properties for that printer.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select multiple emails and hit "Print" (via a toolbar button, the File menu,
or Ctrl+P).
2. Click on "Properties" and set tray or duplex settings to something other than
their defaults.
3. Print the messages.

Actual Results:
The settings chosen only get applied to the first email printed. All other
emails are printed using the default settings for that printer.

Expected Results:
All email messages should have been printed with the settings as specified by
the user.

All printers that were used in examining this bug were network printers, not
local. All are being shared via a Windows 2000 print server. The bug was
reproducable on a multitude of Lexmark printers, and HP 4050, and a QMS 2425.
Mozilla is being run on Windows 2000 and Windows XP, and the bug is reproducable
in both OSes.
I neglected to mention that the bug also appears in Mozilla versions 1.4 and 1.
5, not just 1.6. It may exist in earlier versions as well.

Dup/related of bug 192496?
I have reproduced this problem on Thunderbird 1.5.0.4. The mail client printed in B&W on the first message only, and then revertred back to color (the default) for the remaining messages.
sorry for the spam. making bugzilla reflect reality as I'm not working on these bugs. filter on FOOBARCHEESE to remove these in bulk.
