This may be nitpicky but I never got over this. It is the only issue that causes
dissatisfaction for me when using Mozilla.
Back in the good old days of Mozilla 0.8 (I assume) tabbed browsing was created.
Probably one of the few actually useful features invented for browsers in the
last 5 years.
People loved it right from the start:
1. Right-click link with mouse
2. Let go of mouse button
3. New tab pops up with content
People were hooked. I surely remember I was. I was so used to this simple action
that once Mozilla 1.1 came out I was horrified when the Mozilla team decided to
change the priority to second spot on 'Tabbing'.
Suddenly 'Tabbing' was a **** feature delegated after "Open Link In New
Window". This move spelled "Let's Mimic IE And Be PC."
My first reaction was "how useless". They create something truly useful, the
people use and enjoy it, they get used to it for three (0.8/0.9/1.0) Mozilla
releases and then the Mozilla team makes an executive decision to change its
priority back to the old method.
I still don't understand why you guys did this?
I wondered if it **** off other people and surely there is plenty of comments
out there:

To use Tabbing today I have to right-click my mouse AND move it downwards just
to please the people who still live in the dark ages and use separate windows to
display their content.
And it's not even easy to revert Mozilla to the good format of having 'Tabbing'
be the first option. Unzip a file, edit some code, zip it back up and see if it
works. Thanks a lot for making 'Tabbing' a second-class feature!
I herewith would like to ask two things:
1. Prioritise 'Tabbing' over 'New Windows' in the next release.
2. If you don't agree why not hold a vote on this matter. I was pretty ****
off that the Mozilla team didn't not consult its users when they changed the
priority with Mozilla 1.1 release.
I think it should be the users who decide if 'Tabbing" is the first or second
option.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Actual Results:
The order right now is:
Open Link In New Window
Open Link In New Tab
Expected Results:
The order should be:
Open Link In New Tab
Open Link In New Window

Perhaps you should read the bug covering the matter, then? Instead of filing
new bugs on an already-decided issue?
> 1. Prioritise 'Tabbing' over 'New Windows' in the next release.
This is not a relative priority issue, really. Please read the bug.
> 2. If you don't agree why not hold a vote on this matter
Because this isn't a democracy.
