are you sure you didn't modify the version string in your prefs.js file?

nope, ive never played with prefs.js or any other file for that matter, It might be corrupt and not updating properly, I will try deleting my thunderbird install and reinstalling, If it works, i will close this bug.

okay it worked, and its at 0.5+, so im resolving this bug as invalid, im not sure why it updated the date but not the version, but it doesn't matter to much
