User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040209 Firefox/0.8 After changing the handler settings for a particular MIME type using the pop-up dialog to "Save As", the preferred application for handling this type is forgotten. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have xpdf and acrobat as applications handling PDF, acrobat chosen 2. Click on a PDF file, choose "Save As" in the pop-up dialog 3. Click on a PDF file again. Observe how in the dialog the application has changed from acrobat to xpdf (has been forgotten). Actual Results: The application for handling PDF files was reset to xpdf. Expected Results: I'd expect Firefox to remember the application chosen for handling this file type, even after I use the Save As option for a while.

This is not just a PDF problem, this is ubiquitous. Just started testing FirefoxPR on MacOS 10.3.5 this weekend. Saved html as plain "document" will not load in any application, and Firefox is not in the list of applications when trying to change it on a file by file basis via the finder Information panel. Serious usability problem! Cannot use saved files with MacOS.
Just wanted to reconfirm that this problem still exists in 1.0PR on Linux (Gentoo). I do believe that it is very annoying and should be fixed in time for 1.0.
