235029 - getting strange spaces below images when doctype=xhtml strict

when i got a wegpage in xhtml transitional everything is fine ... as soon as i
set it to xhtml strict i get a white space of 2px below every image inside a
table DESPITE the css saying to make none ...

mail me if you want me to provide an expamle ...
i reduced the page to only a table with one filed an an image to make sure that
actually is the problem.
