User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040220 Firefox/0.8.0+ (scragz) On any page - the bigger the better - I noticed it on http://boomtown.net/da_dk/ when the page loads, the "Find as you type"-feature is activated when the page loads - the statusbar reads "Find stopped." and "Link not found: '?'" etc, and the sound that the browser makes when "find as you type" is heard. All of this several times during load/rendering of the page... AFAIK it appeared after 2004-02-13 (last good build I have where this is not an issue)... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just load a big page like http://boomtown.net/da_dk/ Actual Results: "Find as you type"-feature is activated automatically during rendering... Expected Results: Just load/render.
Hi Lars, I can't reproduce this bug, 20040218 Firefox/0.8.0+, WinXP. A few possibilities: - Do you have any browser extensions installed? If so, try disabling them and see if that fixes it. or: - Do you have any browser themes installed (other than the one that comes packaged with Firefox)? If so, try disabling them and see if that fixes it. or: - It's possible your user profile has been corrupted between versions. Please try starting Firefox with a fresh profile: either trash your old profile (temporarily at least), or start the profile manager (see: http://texturizer.net/firebird/faq.html#profilemanager). Your user profile is likely to be found in C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Application Data\Phoenix\ Please let us know whether or not any of those things fix it. cheers
Sorry about that! It seems that was the case, or at least trashing the old profile did the trick... If I want to keep my certificates and my stored passwords, what should I copy over from the old profile? I got the bookmarks.html, cookies.txt and my user.js, what else do I need? Thanks! :) lars

Glad that fixed it. I'm afraid I don't know which files store the info you require. The cert*.db files look important, but I'm not sure what else. Sorry I can't be more help. I'm just a user, not a programmer :)
