User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 On http://discuss.fogcreek.com/joelonsoftware/ The strap line "A public forum for open discussion of topics raised on Joel on Software." has the Title of the page "The Joel on Software Forum" appear over the top of it. If you select the text and cursor through the page you can select each component separately. I haven't checked the CSS for the page. If you navigate to a new URL and then back again the page is reflowed correctly. Reload does not reflow the text correctly. This page has been fine on all other versions of Firefox/Mozilla up to 0.6 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to http://discuss.fogcreek.com/joelonsoftware/ 2.Look at top of page 3. The JOS page is I believe created by their CityDesk product. As Joel is a fan of Mozilla up to this date and its a high profile site (admittedly amongst only developers), it would be rational to fix or work out what broke or whether it was always broken and its a compliance issue.
WORKSFORME, build 20040221, reloaded the page several times, even with SHIFT + F5, maybe this was fixed after 0.8?
Summary: Incremental layout bug. → Incremental layout bug.
Incremental layout bugs are like that, transitory. I just tried the last nightly and it broke with a memory fault on installing so I'll just leave this as it is right now. It has been reproduced, or recognised by others that use JOS.
Simon, can you re-test with a current build? this is still WORKSFORME. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040326 Firefox/0.8.0+
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040425 Firefox/0.8.0+
Marking as WFM based on comments, please only reopen if you can reproduce this with a nightly build and a fresh profile.
