User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 I get many emails that contain links, such as to the author's website, or to a historical society. On nearly all occasions, since having put in Mozilla 1.5, and now 1.6, I get a Juno error message stating that certain features require...IE 3 or better, or Netscape. Workaround: Usually I can copy the URL, then paste it into Mozilla and it works. Sometimes the URL will NOT copy. Exception: The notices I get from PC Mag let me link to their articles, but they force invocation of IE. To recreate, Juno is available free from http://www.juno.com Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download Juno 2. Follow instructions to create an account. 2a. Access Control Panel/Internet Options/Programs tab. Set HTML editor to Mozilla. Set Email preference to Juno. 3. Send to that account an email containing a full URL (including http: 4. Invoke Juno. Under the Options menu, select Web Preferences, and check the box that says go to the Web when I click on a hyperlink. 5. When that email received, click on the URL hyperlink. That is when I get the message. Actual Results: When I click on a hyperlink, I get the error message described (generally) above. I am not allowed to hyperlink directly from the Juno email, which I could do prior to installing Mozilla 1.5, then 1.6, and making Mozilla my primary web browser. Expected Results: Juno, under IE, would, when I am connected to ATT Worldnet, invoke IE with the URL of the website. I do not know what Theme means, so I assume I am using the default theme.
Sounds like bad browser-sniffing code on the part of the website.... (Most likely it decides that Mozilla is Netscape 1.6).
Product: Browser → Seamonkey
There is an extention called "user agent" - maybe it can be used ? (However I am not happy about it. People should know that mozilla is used)
