In Mozilla 1,6 same as NS 6 or 7 mail trash never empties although set in Server
Preferences.
Also it is not possible to set this option for local trash. Why not, if it would
work anyway.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. set Empty trash on exit in Server Preferences.
2. delete an email
3. exit mozilla
Actual Results:
the mail is still in the trash
Expected Results:
it has proposed to delete the trash on exit, but it doesnt do so

This setting works for me, with a POP mail account, in 1.6 Final and a current
1.7 nightly build.
I agree it would be a good thing to have for the Local Folders/Trash folder
as well.

I submit this bug too. Exists in all Mozilla release and all Thunderbird release.
After new clean Mozilla or Thunderbird installation, i check in options that i
want to delete all messages in trash on exit. But messages are still in Trash
after exit. I must go again to options, uncheck this option, again check this
option and now all works fine.

Reopened to fix resolution.
Rainer Raisch: please do not use "Fixed" unless you can point to a specific
patch that has solved the problem.
