When I paste some text copied from e.g. xterm nothing or strange characters are
pasted.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a mail compose window
2. Copy some text from an xterm
3. Paste it in the mail compose window

Actual Results:  
Nothing or strange characters are pasted.

Expected Results:  
The correct characters should be pasted.
