User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040207 Firefox/0.8 When I go to http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer.rss Firefox popup opening dialog, telling me that this file is Binary Executable and the only action is Save to file. The file inquirer.rss seems to be ok. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer.rss 2. 3.
Their server says this about the file: HTTP/1.x 200 OK Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.0 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET Date: Fri, 27 Feb 2004 14:32:17 GMT Content-Type: application/octet-stream Accept-Ranges: bytes Last-Modified: Fri, 27 Feb 2004 14:30:01 GMT Etag: "9c88c42e3efdc31:1c66" Content-Length: 2746 application/octet-stream is wrong. This is what is forcing a download/save prompt in Firefox. The fix is for whoever runs the server to change the MIME type is applies to .rss files. ->TE
