User-Agent: Build Identifier: Checking CVS source of today (20040227) with lxr Today (20040227) the files in mozilla/modules/plugin/samples/default/unix/ are not relicensed under the triple licensing. The headers suggest that the original files were mozilla.org files, on some files there is one contributor. I've been reading through the Relicensing FAQs and this looks like an oversight to me. Thus I'm filing this bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

many files are not trilicensed yet...
(In reply to comment #1) > many files are not trilicensed yet... It might be the case. The licensing FAQ does not state how to deal with these. Filing bugs if there were oversights seems reasonable to me. The GNU flash plugin depends on files from that directory. Thus Debian cannot package it. So it has some importance.

bernhard: could you please give a list of all the directories containing files which the GNU Flash plugin depends on? I will make sure they get tri-licensed ASAP. Gerv

Correction: It is GPL Flash plug-in. It is _not_ GNU. Sorry about this. To my knowledge ./mozilla/modules/plugin/samples/default/unix/ is the only directory related to this issue. The whole story is at: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235830 > > This one is still MPL, probably because they have to ask one contributor. > > Maybe it is already resolved. > > > > ./mozilla/modules/plugin/samples/default/unix/npunix.c http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=155885 > 1. The Mozilla plugin was not properly licensed, so it was removed;

The contents of this directory have now been relicensed. I hope this is helpful to the Flash plugin project and to Debian. Please contact me if there are further issues. Gerv
