I have a HP notebook computer. One feature of the mouse pad is that by moving my
finger up or down the right side without pressing any buttons, the screen will
scroll up or down. This works in ALL programs I have except Firefox.

It is. I downploaded the latest drivers from the synaptics site and now it
WORKS!
