WorksForMe on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b)

Tony, can you try again with the latest nightly and a fresh profile?

Hi All,
It is now printing out fine on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1;
en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8. Must have been their site.

Hi All,
I am going to re-open this one up again. The posting I made
on #2 was on an HP4600 color laser jet. When I got back to my office
and re-tested the page with my Okipage 14e at the office, all that
printed was some of the adds at the top. Then, instead of printing
page 1 to 1, I tried letting it printing all pages. The adds appeared on page
one and the glasses on page two. I duplicated this using Mozilla/5.0
(Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040403
Firefox/0.8.0+ as well.
So I went into my print driver and found:
Response Mode:
Occasionally, monochrome printing of color images does not provide
sufficient differentiation with grayscale tones and there are no remedies
from within the application that created the image. In these cases,
substituting different dithering patterns for the colored data in the
image
will provide a different mechanism for distinguishing one section (color)
from another. For example, even though many accounting applications
automatically assign patterns to a graph and color them red, the graph
will be printed in black. Also, letters that appear in color in word
processing and desktop publishing applications will not be dithered and
will be printed in black.
The Response to Color mode function is used to correct these problems.
To set the response to color processing in applications:
1, Click on the Advanced tab in the Printer Properties dialog.
2, Click on the radio button next to your desired choice -- Mono or Color.
3, Click on Apply to save your change.
Setting the response mode to color, enabled the glasses to print on page
one with the adds.
My office set up is Windows 2000 Professional, Service Pack 4. My
printer is an Okidata Okipage 14e. My print driver revision is
2.11.15.0, "Final Candidate, 01/29/2001" from Okidata.
The desired result of this bug report is to modify the print code such
that the glasses will print natively on page one with the adds -- without
the need to use obscure setting in my print driver.
Let me know if I can be of assistance. (Oh my gosh! Did I just
volunteer!?!?!)
Many thanks,
--Tony

I have a HP deskjet 3820 and get this problem all the time. Typically when I
buy something online and get a receipt there's graphics at the top and sometimes
at the bottom. The graphics now appear on their own page. Sometimes there's
several pages for what should be a single page.
The fix described using the Advanced tab of the printer properties doesn't work
for me: there no such fields (or anything similar) on that screen, or anywhere
else I can find.
Mike
If I want to print a page that has frames, the preview shows the page as one
page, numbered 1/1. When printed, each frame gets printed on its own page, each
numbered 1/1. I'm using Firefox 1.0 on WinXP SP2, duplicated the bug on a fresh
profile, printer Brother HL-730

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
The latest beta releases can be obtained from:
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/
Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/releases/1.5beta1.html
Seamonkey: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/
It now prints fine under Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915
Firefox/1.0.7
Thank you!
