User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040228 Firefox/0.8.0+ When I click on add engines nothing happens an exception in thrown in the javascript console: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED) [nsIStringBundle.GetStringFromName]" nsresult: "0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED)" location: "JS frame :: XStringBundle :: getString :: line 16" data: no] I also saw this under XP, though I also saw it working. Adding engines from mycroft works, though at instances it doesn't work Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Do Add Engines under linux Other problems with installing from mycroft are difficult to reproduce
Installing of engines from mycroft works (Add engines still not) if the user running firefox has permissions to write in the searchplugin directory under linux. This is not a really nice solution. It would be better to move search plugins to the profile.
